Easter Basket Ideas (that’s not candy)!

Easter is less than two weeks away, but have no fear. I have five ideas that will help you fill your toddler’s Easter basket with something other than candy.

Outdoor Activities

Spring has sprung and everyone is ready to enjoy the nice weather. My little one is itching to get outside and play. What a better gift to give than an outdoor activity?!

Some outdoor activities include:

  • Kite
  • Bug Catching Kit
  • Bubbles
  • Binoculars
  • Plastic golf set or baseball bat
  • Gardening Supplies

Arts and Crafts

This may seem like a no-brainer, but little ones love to do crafts and the Dollar Tree and Target have some great activities, plus this is a great time to purge the old stuff and get new.

Some arts and crafts include:

  • New coloring books and crayons
  • Stickers
  • Ready-to-paint birdhouses
  • Finger Paints

Summer Supplies

Easter baskets are the perfect place to add in some summer supplies. The kids are going to need them and a great time of year to buy them.

Some summer supplies include:

  • Sandals
  • Sunglasses
  • Swimsuit
  • Hats
  • Goggles
  • Beach Toys

Clothing

Just like at Christmas, this is another time to get you kids some new clothes including socks!

Some clothing ideas:

  • New shirts with favorite characters or prints
  • Athletic wear
  • Rain boots
  • Spring jacket
  • Dress clothes and shoes

Books

When in doubt go with a book or magazine. It fosters good habits and is a relaxing activity to do together.
